Testimonials

“The ability of your guides and staff to make this trip such a success was beyond explanation.  They all said that this was the finest trip they had ever been on.

I credit that to you, your business model, your staff and guides.  Even the ones that did not fish.  Both engaging with my customers, and took the joking and heckling all in stride.

It just feels like home when I bring guys down and there is nothing more I could ask for.

Thanks again for all you do.”

“There’s fishing trips and there’s FISHING TRIPS!  As you are aware, our fishing trip last week marks the fifteenth year that I have been taking a group of my accounts to Cocodrie Charters.  There’s always the warm welcome from you and your staff as soon as we arrive.  It’s like coming home.

Great captains, great accommodations, great (unique) food and above all; awesome fishing!  In all of these years we’ve never been disappointed.  My thanks once again to you and your staff. You can “bet the ranch” that we’ll see you next year.”

We really enjoyed our time fishing with you.  Tell Don hello for me.  he was great with LeEllen & Garner.  Got the hoods for our ball caps…  Thanks.  I saw this in the paper this morning and thought I would send it to you.  It’s not very often that Cocodrei makes the Nashville paper.

Thanks for a great time!

Capt. Don, this is Keith Maxey.  I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me fulfill a Red fish dream sir.  It was an honor just to be in your presence and watch you work out on the water.  I never felt like an outsider when I was around and never felt awkward hanging out in your boat.  You carry yourself very well and are fun to be around, yet you are serious when it comes to finding them fish.  You were my favorite.  Everyone at Cocodrie Charters was wonderful.  But you sir made my trip.  I thank you for your time and your professional expertise your one heck of a great charter captain.  Thank you sir and everyone at Cocodrie Charters from the bottom of my heart.  you will never be forgotten.  Can’t wait to do it again next year.

Thanks so much!

Jim,

It would be difficult for me to explain just what a marvelous fishing trip that I had with you and your people. You have assembled a crew that exhibits Par-Excellence from beginning to end as well as a most charming personal touch. You can take great pride in what your leadership has produced. All of your employees exhibit great pride and dedication in their individual jobs and the company as a whole; your employees give you full credit for setting the example as well as the operating standards which consistently permeates throughout your entire operation, and they are most willing to go the extra mile. Meeting and interfacing with you, Margaret, Brother and Henry was an absolute pleasure and made the trip most enjoyable. What a fine group of people!

I, personally, was delighted to meet you! Seldom, very seldom do I come across a person that I liked immediately and so well. Good charactered, intelligent, principal, patriotic, individuals are few and far between today. You certainly enjoy a fine reputation with all your employees; they cannot say enough fine things about the Boss.

I enjoyed this fishing trip tremendously; it was a first time experience, “fishing in the marsh,” and I probably will not attempt this type of fishing trip again, (I’m not giving up fishing) just that lazy! I will make it a point to revisit you sometime, somewhere in the future.

So long for now!

Louis

Jim, Margaret, Brother—- Your operation has a certain “feel” that money can’t buy. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The accommadations, the weather, the food, the fishing and most of all the cornradery was beyond expectations. By the way I’m listening to Gumbo 94.9 out of Houma as I write this. For me the best part was the sunrise every morning and the fellowship around the fish cleaning shack between customers and guides. Early morning coffee while visiting with Margaret as she prepared breakfast was’nt bad either. Jim, you’ve got a great team and I hope Cocodrie Charters is around for a long time to come. I’m just sorry it took me a lifetime before I found ya’ll. Again many thanks for your hospitality.

Hope to see you next year.

As usual, you were the host with the most! I think you have some more clients for life. Thank you again for Saturday night’s meal. Just fantastic. And thanks also for the cigars. They were excellent. You are a great friend and I appreciate the w~y in which you and your staff and captains take care of my guys. Until the next time, keep your line in the water and the wind at your back. Mort

I wanted to send you a note to let you know how pleased my guys were with your facility and guide. They couldn’t give Johnny enough praise on how hard he worked for them. Despite the weather, it t urned out to be a great trip for them, especially since they traveled from out of state.

Thanks for taking good care of them. We’re already talking about next year. Hope to see you soon.  Good luck fishing!!!

P.S. That was one nice “red-fish”

Thanks again,

James Allums
