Meet the Owner
As far as fishing goes, I was hooked at a young age – about six or seven. I am an avid fisherman, but I am a conservationist. My wife and I eat most of the fish I catch. The rest we share with friends and relatives.
After college I worked for Avondale Shipyards in the Aroncraft Division. For a few years I ran a construction company in Tennessee. Then I owned a bicycle and lawn mower store for 20 years. I have owned Cocodrie Charters for 26 years. It is near and dear to me. Happiness is seeing my customers catch fish and have a good time.
I started taking my four children fishing when they were young. They are all in their fifties and still talk about those trips – successful and unsuccessful.
Other than fishing I enjoy duplicate bridge, tennis, grilling, cooking and gardening. My barbeque chicken is a family favorite. I enjoy raising Irises and fruit trees. Since Covid 19, I have found an interest in herbs, flowering plants and shrubs, and vegetables. I am looking forward to many more fishing trips with my family and friends.
